This is an appeal of a workers' compensation case. Rick L. Hortman was employed by Louisiana Steel Works and suffered an accident on June 5, 1993. On October 19, 1993, Dr. Anthony Iopollo performed back surgery on Mr. Hortman. Mr. Hortman was paid weekly workers' compensation benefits from the date of injury until his benefits were terminated on May 18, 1995.
