The jury convicted appellant Donavan Scott of attempted capital murder and assessed punishment at seventy years' confinement. In two points of error, appellant contends the trial court erred in (1) permitting a fact witness to invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination after voluntarily taking the stand and testifying on behalf of the State, and (2) refusing to allow appellant to make a bill of exception regarding the fact witness...
