The plaintiffs, members of the bar of the Commonwealth, brought this action against their former client Edward Carroll2 to collect on a promissory note in the amount of $71,100 plus interest (count I) and to reach and apply the obligations of the defendant, Thomas Linnane, to Carroll pursuant to an October, 1989, settlement agreement that Linnane and Carroll made to resolve disagreements...
