Elijah Jabber Brookins, the defendant, appeals his conviction for first degree murder. Several arguments are presented in the appeal but only one merits discussion. The defendant contends that he did not knowingly and voluntarily waive his rights during a police interrogation and that his statement to the police officers should have been suppressed from evidence.
