CARLEY, Justice.

As he drove by in his van, Glen Weems fired shots at a group of people who were standing in front of a residence. The shots killed a 7-year old and wounded a 2-year old, a 10-year old and a 17-year old. A jury found Weems guilty of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault. In Weems v.
