Three brothers, Ronney, John and Robert Broussard, sought damages from their employer, Missouri Pacific Railroad Company d/b/a Union Pacific Railroad Company, under the Federal Employer's Liability Act (FELA), 45 U.S.C. § 51 et seq. Each claimed to have sustained a hearing loss due to working conditions. Their cases were consolidated and after a bench trial, judgment was entered for each plaintiff in the amount of $50,000.
