Defendant-appellant, Guy Jerome Ursery, appeals his conviction and sentence for manufacture of marijuana in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1).

On July 30, 1992, a state search warrant was executed at defendant's residence located in a rural area with the nearest house about half a mile away. In a field next to defendant's property, six plots of marijuana plants were found. At the time the search warrant was executed...
