Plaintiff is president (having assumed that position in 1991) of Ellis Brothers and Joseph, Inc., a closely held family furniture business (hereinafter the business). Plaintiff, one of four shareholders, holds 598 shares (34%) acquired either prior to the parties' marriage or by gift or bequest thereafter.
