This appeal is from an order of the Hennepin County District Court denying, without holding an evidentiary hearing, petitioner James (NMN) Russell's petition for postconviction relief. Russell was convicted of first-degree felony murder and second-degree intentional murder. This court affirmed Russell's conviction on direct appeal.
