JOHNSON, Judge.

David Martin (Martin) appeals the judgment of conviction and sentence entered on July 21, 1995, by the Jefferson Circuit Court which convicted him of escape in the second degree, in violation of Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) 520.030, and sentenced him to one year in prison. Martin argues that the trial court erred when it refused to give him credit for the time he spent in jail awaiting sentencing on the escape conviction...
