In this action, Nippon Fire & Marine Insurance Company seeks recovery of $1,186,467.87 that it paid to Komori America Corporation pursuant to a marine cargo insurance policy. The money was paid for damage to an offset printing press after the press had been shipped from Japan to the United States and while it was being unloaded from the vessel M.V. Tourcoing.
