The plaintiff, Alfred Adams, Jr., proceeding pro se, brings this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 seeking compensatory damages for alleged violations of his civil rights while he was a pretrial detainee at the Brooklyn and Bronx Houses of Detention.
