The State of Texas appeals from the trial court's order suppressing evidence seized from appellee, Humayen Shamsie. See Tex. Code Crim.Proc. § 44.01(a)(5) (West Supp. 1997). The trial court granted Shamsie's motion to suppress the evidence on the ground that it was obtained when officers detained Shamsie without reasonable suspicion, in violation of the federal and state constitutions and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
