Plaintiff, Jimmie McLain, was injured in an automobile accident in a construction zone on Interstate Highway 380. He and his wife sued the State of Iowa and the contractors working on the project, claiming the area was unreasonably dangerous because the traffic warning signs were inadequate in alerting motorists of traffic congestion.
