Appellant Arthur Maurice Hardison was tried and convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City of two counts each of assault with intent to murder, assault and battery, use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence, and carrying a handgun. After merging the lesser included offenses into the assault with intent to murder convictions, the trial court sentenced appellant to five years for both of the assault with intent to murder...
