Petitioner was sentenced in February 1992 to 1 to 3 years' imprisonment for his conviction of the crime of attempted robbery in the third degree. In November 1992, petitioner was arrested while on a temporary release program and was sentenced in June 1993 upon his conviction of the crime of attempted burglary in the second degree to a term of imprisonment of 2½ to 5 years. Sentenced as a second felony offender, petitioner's second sentence, by statute, was to be served...
