In March 1991, John Greene, Jr. and Michael Byrd met at a nightclub in Albany Georgia. Sometime that night, or during the early hours of the next morning, they left the club together in a Jeep that belonged to Byrd's mother and stepfather, Sandra and Jerry Jenkins.
