Plaintiff Martha R. Criss (hereinafter plaintiff) was injured on North Cayuga Street in the City of Ithaca, Tompkins County, when she allegedly tripped on a raised grating owned and maintained by defendant New York State Electric and Gas Corporation which protruded from the sidewalk owned and maintained by defendant City of Ithaca.
