Patricia Nourse (plaintiff) appeals from the entry of summary judgment in favor of Food Lion, Inc. (defendant) in an action to recover damages for her slip and fall in the defendant's produce department.

In her complaint the plaintiff alleges that while shopping in the defendant's store she slipped and fell "while walking past the produce aisle ... that was littered with produce and liquid." She specifically alleges the defendant was negligent...
