This is an original proceeding concerning a trial court's power to reinvoke its plenary jurisdiction pursuant to rule 306a of the rules of civil procedure. We hold that the trial court abused its discretion in setting for hearing real parties' motions for new trial and judgment notwithstanding the verdict when the court's plenary jurisdiction had expired.
