This is a medical malpractice action arising from treatment of a gunshot injury. Dr. Forrest Wright, the general surgeon who performed an emergency repair of plaintiff's lacerated intestine, properly stopped the hemorrhaging by ligating the severed external iliac artery that supplied most of the blood to plaintiff's right leg, but negligently failed to summon the on-call vascular surgeon to revascularize...
