SCHALLER, J.

The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of first degree manslaughter in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55. He claims that the trial court improperly (1) instructed the jury on the duty to retreat in defense of person, (2) instructed the jury on defense of premises and (3) failed to instruct the jury that the defendant need not retreat from the curtilage of his dwelling. We affirm the judgment of conviction...
