A combined hearing was held on September 9, 1997, on the trustees' objections to the debtors' claimed homestead exemptions in these two cases. Both cases involve essentially identical facts, and both cases require the court to resolve the same issue: namely, when is a homestead deed "admitted to record" under Va.Code Ann. § 34-14 for the purpose of perfecting the Virginia homestead exemption...
