The plaintiffs are four African-Americans who were guests at the Holiday Inn in Solomons, Maryland.1 A dispute with the motel management over allegations that they were disturbing other guests led to the eviction of two of the plaintiffs from the motel in the middle of the night. Alleging that their treatment was motivated by racial discrimination, all the plaintiffs have asserted federal claims...
