Balch Motor Company sued Paul B. Sonny for an unpaid bill for repairs to Mr. Sonny's car. Mr. Sonny counterclaimed for damages from Balch in connection with Balch's efforts to prosecute him for theft of services. The jury found in favor of Balch for car repairs in the amount of $871.13, and against Mr. Sonny on his counterclaims of malicious prosecution and abuse of process.
