This criminal contempt conviction arose out of a civil class-action suit in which District of Columbia Department of Corrections ("DOC") employees alleged that they had been victims of sexual harassment and retaliation. Appellant Sylvia Young was convicted of criminal contempt for violating a court order issued in conjunction with the sexual harassment lawsuit that enjoined DOC, together with all its agents and employees, from taking or threatening...
