SHEVIN, Judge.

The State of Florida appeals an order granting J.A.'s motion to suppress physical evidence discovered during a weapons search at a public high school. We treat the appeal as a petition for writ of certiorari.1 We find that the trial court's order departs from the essential requirements of law, and therefore grant certiorari and quash the order.
