STOVER, Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for attempted capital murder with a deadly weapon. The appellant pleaded not guilty to the charge; trial was to a jury, which found appellant guilty as charged in the indictment. On February 17, 1994, after hearing evidence on punishment, the trial court sentenced appellant to 99 years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and fined appellant $10,000.
