WICKER, Judge.

Jack T. Braquet was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:966(A). He initially entered a plea of not guilty and filed various pretrial motions, including a motion to suppress evidence, which were scheduled to be heard on the day of trial. No ruling was made on them, however, because on June 21, 1995, the trial date, defendant withdrew his plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty as charged....
