Marital difficulties apparently ensued and, in November 1989, petitioner and respondent entered into a separation agreement, which was incorporated but not merged into the parties' October 1991 judgment of divorce. Pursuant to the terms of the separation agreement, the parties were to have joint legal custody of the children...
