Valentine Kalie (defendant) was charged with the felony offense of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, in violation of La. R.S. 40:966(A). Defendant filed a motion to suppress the drug evidence, but the trial court denied his motion after a hearing. Defendant then pled guilty, preserving his appeal rights.
