The issues in this certified appeal are whether the Appellate Court properly concluded that: (1) the trial court acted improperly in excluding the testimony of a defense expert witness, due to a violation of a sequestration order, but its ruling was harmless; and (2) the trial court acted properly by permitting the state to present certain forensic evidence in rebuttal but refusing to allow the defendant to present surrebuttal
