Defendant, USAir, Inc., is a foreign corporation with its headquarters in Virginia, and a place of business in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On or about 5 March 1992, plaintiff was a passenger on USAir flight No. 86, traveling from San Diego, California, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
