Petitioners are the defendants in a patent suit that is about to go to trial in the Western District of Wisconsin. In No. 96-2770 they ask us to direct the judge to transfer the litigation to the Southern District of New York under 28 U.S.C. § 1404(a), asserting that it would be substantially more convenient for the parties and witnesses. In No. 96-3078 they ask us to vacate one order directing BBC International to appear for a deposition...
