CASTILLE, Justice.

This is a direct appeal from a sentence of death imposed by the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.1 Following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of first degree murder,2 criminal conspiracy to commit murder,3 possession of an instrument of crime4
