OPINION

WEISBERGER, Chief Justice.

This case comes before us on appeal by the defendants Daun White (White) and Richard Rousseau (Rousseau) of the Pawtucket Police Department, and the defendant city of Pawtucket (city), from entry of judgment in favor of the plaintiff, Mary Alice Dyson (Dyson), in Superior Court based on her action for assault and battery, false arrest, and violation of her constitutional rights under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
