Defendants, Jeanne Foret and Rosetta M. Jones, each appeal their respective convictions of second degree murder.

Both Foret and Jones were originally charged with the first degree murder of Warner Jones, in violation of La. R.S. 14:30. Both defendants initially pled not guilty, but later changed their pleas to not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity.
