Plaintiff-appellee, Margaret V. Shuck, brought this personal injury suit against defendant-appellant, Steven M. Jacob, after Jacob allegedly shot and killed Shuck's daughter, Melody J. Hopper. Jacob was convicted of first degree murder for the killing of Hopper.
