Champion International Corporation ("Champion") fired employee Michael J. Fiedler following an incident of sabotage at Champion's pulp and paper mill in Sartell, Minnesota. Two months earlier, Champion had terminated the collective bargaining agreement ("CBA") governing the Sartell work force.
