Following a jury trial, defendant, Stanley Davis, was convicted of two counts each of armed robbery (720 ILCS 5/18-2(a) (West 1992) and unlawful restraint (720 ILCS 5/10-3.1 (West 1992) in connection with the robbery of a jewelry store, and was sentenced to 25 years' imprisonment.
