Following settlement of the Appellants civil rights cause of action brought against the Appellees under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the district court, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1988, awarded Appellants $2,829.87 in attorneys' fees on a fee application requesting over $86,000.
