The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction, following a jury trial, of possession of a narcotic substance in violation of General Statutes § 21a-279 (a). The defendant was also convicted of disregarding the signal of a police officer in violation of General Statutes § 14-223 (b), but does not challenge the conviction of that charge.
