Roberto Perez was charged by bill of information 2 with one count of possession of four hundred grams or more of cocaine, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(F)(1)(c).3 Defendant pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was convicted as charged. The trial court sentenced defendant to serve 50 years at hard labor with the Department of Corrections, 30 years of which are without benefit of parole...
