After a bench trial, appellant Lonzo Mitchell was convicted of possession of heroin, in violation of D.C.Code § 33-541(d) (1993 Repl.). He was sentenced to one hundred and twenty days of incarceration, with work release from five a.m. to four p.m. Mondays through Fridays. He filed a timely appeal.
