Plaintiffs filed this action under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 201-19 (1994), to recover back wages for time spent providing home care of dogs in the Metropolitan Airports Commission's (MAC) canine unit. A jury found that both plaintiffs had worked compensable time caring for the dogs (although not the full amount alleged) for which MAC had not paid them.
