NORCOTT, J.

The defendant, Martyn D. Bruno, was convicted after a trial to a three judge court of one count of murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-54a and 53a-8, and of three counts of tampering with physical evidence in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-155 (a) (1) and 53a-8.1 He received a total effective sentence of sixty years imprisonment.
