On November 7, 1992 an allision occurred between the M/V Hatty Candies, owned by Otto Candies, Inc., and an offshore oil and gas platform owned by Nerco Oil & Gas, Inc. and Agip Petroleum Co. Nerco's assets were later purchased by LLECO Holdings, Inc. As a result of the accident, three of the wells on the platform were shut-in for between 31 and 50 days.
