Defendant, James C. Walker, was charged by bill of information with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Schedule II cocaine, with the intent to distribute, in violation of La.R.S. 40:967(A)(1). He was subsequently found guilty in a trial by jury. Following his conviction, defendant was sentenced to sixty-six months at hard labor.
