WHICHARD, Justice.

Defendants were tried jointly and noncapitally for first-degree murder and for discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. The jury found both defendants guilty on both charges. The trial court sentenced each defendant to a mandatory term of life imprisonment on the murder convictions and sentenced defendants to three years' imprisonment for discharging a firearm into occupied property, to run concurrently with the murder sentences.
