Defendant was charged by bill of information with simple burglary, in violation of La. R.S. 14:62 and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of La.R.S. 14:95.11. Defendant appeared before the court with court-appointed counsel for arraignment on July 25, 1995.
